What is Halo Laser?
Halo Laser is a hybrid fractional laser treatment that targets both the surface and deeper layers of the skin. It combines ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to address a variety of skin concerns, promoting a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.
How does Halo Laser work?
Halo Laser uses a combination of two wavelengths:
- Ablative wavelength: Targets the outer layer of the skin, removing damaged tissue and promoting collagen production.
- Non-ablative wavelength: Penetrates deeper into the skin to address underlying skin concerns without damaging the surface.
This dual-action approach helps to improve skin texture, tone, and overall appearance.
What skin concerns can Halo Laser address?
Halo Laser can effectively treat a range of skin concerns, including:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Sun damage and hyperpigmentation
- Uneven skin tone and texture
- Enlarged pores
- Acne scars and other types of scarring
Is Halo Laser suitable for all skin types?
Yes, Halo Laser is suitable for most skin types. However, a consultation with a skincare professional is necessary to determine if it is the right treatment for your specific skin type and concerns.
What can I expect during a Halo Laser treatment?
During a Halo Laser treatment, a numbing cream is applied to the skin to ensure comfort. The laser device is then passed over the skin, delivering targeted energy to the treatment areas. You may feel a sensation of heat and tingling. The entire procedure typically takes 30-60 minutes, depending on the treatment area.
Is there any downtime after Halo Laser?
Yes, there is some downtime associated with Halo Laser. You can expect redness and swelling for a few days after the treatment. The skin will begin to peel and flake as it heals, which can last for about a week. Most people can return to normal activities within 5-7 days.
How often should I get Halo Laser treatments?
The number of Halo Laser treatments needed varies depending on your skin concerns and goals. Many people see significant improvements after just one treatment, but a series of treatments may be recommended for optimal results. Your skincare professional will provide a personalized treatment plan.
Can Halo Laser be combined with other treatments?
Yes, Halo Laser can be combined with other treatments such as BBL (BroadBand Light) therapy, microneedling, or chemical peels to enhance results. Consult with your skincare professional to determine the best combination of treatments for your skin.
How soon will I see results from Halo Laser?
You may begin to see improvements in your skin’s texture and tone within a few days after the treatment. Full results develop over time, with optimal outcomes typically visible within 2-3 months as collagen production continues.
Are there any side effects of Halo Laser?
Common side effects of Halo Laser include redness, swelling, and a sunburn-like sensation immediately after the treatment. These effects are temporary and typically subside within a few days. Peeling and flaking of the skin are also common during the healing process.
Who should avoid Halo Laser?
Individuals with active skin infections, open wounds, or certain skin conditions should avoid Halo Laser treatments. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also seek medical advice before undergoing the procedure. A thorough consultation with a skincare professional will help determine if Halo Laser is suitable for you.

What is Moxi Laser treatment?
The MOXI laser is a gentle, non-invasive treatment designed to correct pigmentation issues and improve skin tone, texture, and fine lines with minimal downtime. Suitable for all skin types and tones, it can be performed year-round.
How does Moxi Laser treatment work?
MOXI works by heating the skin just below the surface, targeting sun spots and damage. As the skin heals, tiny specks called MENDS emerge and shed within a few days, revealing healthier, more radiant skin. This non-ablative laser effectively reduces pigment while stimulating collagen, rejuvenating the skin without breaking its surface—think of it as “aerating the lawn,” where the heat wakes up aging skin cells to heal and renew.
Who is a good candidate for Moxi Laser treatment?
The MOXI laser is ideal for patients focused on treating superficial pigment with minimal downtime, especially those in their 20s and 30s looking to delay aging and maintain youthful skin. It’s also suitable for patients with melasma, as the treatment intensity can be carefully controlled.
What areas of the body can be treated with Moxi?
Moxi can be used on the face, neck, chest, arms, hands, and other areas where skin rejuvenation is desired.
What can I expect during a Moxi treatment?
The treatment typically lasts up to 30 minutes, depending on the area being treated. You may experience mild discomfort, similar to a warm, prickling sensation. A topical numbing cream is often applied before the procedure to enhance comfort.
Is there any downtime after Moxi Laser treatment?
Moxi is designed with minimal downtime in mind. Most patients experience mild redness and swelling, which typically subsides within a few days. You may also notice MENDS (look like specks of pepper) will appear on the 2nd or 3rd day after treatment. Skin will have a bronzed appearance, feel very dry and have a sandpaper feel to it. Mends will slough off within 3 – 5 days leaving fresh new healthy, radiant, beautiful skin.
How many Moxi treatments will I need?
The number of treatments varies depending on your skin type and the concerns being addressed. Typically, a series of 3-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results.
What results can I expect from Moxi?
Patients often notice improved skin tone, texture, and radiance after just one treatment. Results continue to improve over time as collagen production increases. Maintenance treatments are recommended to preserve results.
How should I care for my skin after Moxi treatment?
It’s important to protect your skin from the sun after Moxi treatment by using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30. You should also follow a gentle skincare routine and avoid using harsh products or exfoliants until your skin has fully healed. Makeup can be worn 24 hours post treatment depending on aggressiveness of the treatment. Patients can return to their normal skincare routine 5 -7 days post treatment or when skin is healed.
