Weight Management

Semaglutide

Semaglutide is a weight loss injection to suppress appetite and assist with weight management. It is FDA-approved and safe to use with supplements and medications.

Benefits
  • Long-term weight loss
  • Injected weekly
  • Reduced appetite
  • Increases Metabolism
  • Treats type 2 diabetes
  • Better glycemic control
How Does the Program Work?
Our medically assisted weight loss program begins with a consultation with our Nurse Practitioner, Britney Larimore. During the consultation, you will undergo an in-depth health screening to ensure you are a suitable candidate for treatment. Once approved, your medication is ordered on the day of your consultation, and you can begin treatment as soon as you receive it. Follow-up appointments occur every 6 to 10 weeks, at Britney’s discretion, where you will receive a body composition analysis and dietary review.
How is This Different From Other Weight Loss Programs?
Unlike other programs, our program involves frequent in-office monitoring to ensure you stay on the correct path to your goals. This approach helps prevent muscle mass loss and rebound weight gain after you stop using the medication.
Is This Program Covered By Insurance?
No, NEOSkin Medical Spa’s Weight Loss Program is not covered by insurance. The cost will be explained during your consultation with the provider and her Patient Care Coordinator. We offer payment plan options through CareCredit or PatientFi.
How Does Semaglutide Work?
Semaglutide mimics glucagon-like peptide which targets the area in the brain that controls appetite and food intake. You will be given a weekly injection and then be monitored by our Certified Nurse Practitioner. Be prepared to make regular visits as part of your treatment plan.

What is Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy?
Biotes Method of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) can begin as few as two to four weeks with the use of hormone pellets being inserted subcutaneously to balance hormones. Every patient is different, so Biote provides personalized dosing to their unique needs and hormone levels. BHRT is designed to be biologically identical to your body’s hormones.
What To Expect?
A new patient will schedule a consultation with our Biote Certified Provider. The provider will request hormone testing and lab work to see patients’ candidacy. The next appointment will be to go over labs and decide a treatment plan from there.
What is the difference between synthetic hormones and bioidentical hormones?
Synthetic hormones are manufactured to mimic the action of your hormones but the structures are not 100% identical. Bioidentical hormones are identical in molecular structure to your own hormones.
How Do You Evaluate My Hormone Levels?
You’ll start by completing a detailed survey of your symptoms and concerns. Next, we’ll conduct a blood panel to assess your thyroid hormones, testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, specific vitamin levels, kidney and liver function, cell counts, electrolyte levels, and blood sugar. Britney will then spend about an hour with you to create a personalized care plan tailored to your specific needs and hormone levels. When was the last time your doctor or nurse practitioner devoted that much time to your health?
How can I Take The Hormones?
Hormones can be administered in various forms. At NEOKSIN, we offer creams, injectables, and pellets. The creams and injectables are custom-formulated for you by a local compounding pharmacy, while the pellets are produced in a 503A pharmacy. Creams and injectables are used daily or weekly, depending on your prescription, while pellets are inserted into subcutaneous tissue every 3.5-4 months for women and every 5-6 months for men.
What hormones do you replace?
We prescribe hormone replacement for testosterone, estrogen, and thyroid.
